Ultra-fast charging at Metro Linz: AMIC Energy relies on SMATRICS’ 360-degree service
Charging station operator AMIC Energy and location partner METRO are successfully expanding their partnership and continue to rely on SMATRICS’ full-service charging solution: Eight state-of-the-art high-power charging (HPC) stations are now available to electric vehicle drivers at the METRO location in Linz.
Electric vehicle drivers can now use ultra-fast charging at the METRO store on Franzosenhausweg in Linz. The charging stations are open to the public at all times, even outside of METRO’s business hours. The direct connection to the A7 Mühlkreis Autobahn, one of the most important transportation routes for regional commuter traffic, freight transport, and international transit, underscores the significance of the new location in Linz.
“Charging must be just as easy as filling up with gas so that electric vehicle drivers can travel without restrictions—that is our firm belief as a full-service provider of electric mobility. That is why we are pleased to be working with AMIC Energy to equip and maintain additional locations, such as the one at METRO in Linz, with public fast-charging infrastructure,” explains Ronald Lausch, Chief Sales Officer at SMATRICS. The location offers eight state-of-the-art ultra-fast charging points (HPC) with a power output of up to 400 kilowatts. Depending on the vehicle’s charging capacity, enough power for a range of up to 400 kilometers can be charged in just 15 minutes.
Günter Maier, Managing Director of AMIC Energy, adds: “We are pleased that, together with METRO and SMATRICS, we can offer another location with ultra-fast charging stations for both METRO customers and electric vehicle drivers. Payment is handled individually and is very straightforward—using a charging card, app, or via direct payment. EV drivers can charge at all ultra-fast charging stations—as with the entire SMATRICS partner network—emission-free using 100 percent renewable energy from Verbund.
