"THG premium" from SMATRICS

Drivers of electric vehicles help to save CO2. Now they can also receive a bonus for this in Austria by "selling" their CO2 savings. This is made possible by the so-called Fuel Ordinance (KVO).

SMATRICS is now the first major charging provider in Austria to start registering for the premium. E-mobilists can expect a package worth €400 in the campaign, which is initially limited to 1,000 e-vehicles.

Compensation for climate protection contribution

"This is good news for Austria's e-drivers. They will receive additional compensation for their contribution to climate protection in the form of the THG premium," explains SMATRICS CEO Hauke Hinrichs. Since this year, owners of battery-electric vehicles have also been able to benefit directly from the THG premium, following the German example.

The offer for the first 1,000 registered e-vehicles: regardless of charging behavior and mileage, customers receive a flat rate of €281.20 per e-vehicle - directly to their account within 5 weeks. In addition, customers receive the basic fee for the attractive Charge Pro tariff worth €118.80 free of charge.

Registration is now possible at https://smatrics.com/thg-praemie.

THG premium also interesting for companies

The bonus payout is not just for private individuals - companies can also benefit: "The electrification of corporate fleets is the next big lever for e-mobility," explains Hinrichs.

Companies can thus count on subsidies, low operating costs and now also the GHG premium. It also applies to light commercial vehicles and buses.
