Eröffnung BOE Multiversum Schwechat
Release Date: 17.06.2026

Twelve new charging stations at Multiversum Schwechat offer greater flexibility thanks to 24/7 availability

Starting in early May, electric vehicle drivers have had access to twelve new charging stations around the clock on the grounds of the BOE Park location near the popular Multiversum event complex in Schwechat. Operations are managed by SMATRICS.

Just a few minutes’ drive from the Schwechat exit on the S1 and Vienna International Airport, electric car drivers now have the option to charge their vehicles conveniently and ultra-fast. The new charging station is located directly at the SPAR parking lot next to the well-known Multiversum event complex at Möhringgasse 2-4, 2320 Schwechat, and is equipped with six standard charging points in the BOE parking garage as well as six ultra-fast charging points in the BOE parking lot.

BOE is thus continuing to expand the electric charging infrastructure at its locations, thereby enabling sustainable and clean mobility at this important transportation hub located near the highway. SMATRICS is managing the operation and all related services, including a 24/7 service hotline, regular maintenance, and billing.

Ultra-fast charging – around the clock

What makes these charging stations special is that they are open to the public 24 hours a day, even outside of Multiversum’s operating hours, and can be easily used with the BOE Park & Charge charging card, all major charging cards, and via direct payment terminals.

“The 24-hour charging service in Schwechat allows both local residents and travelers passing through to charge their vehicles quickly and easily. Continuous access to public EV charging infrastructure is particularly important near the airport. We are therefore delighted to be expanding the public charging infrastructure at such a central transportation hub with our partner BOE—including ultra-fast charging stations for the first time,” explains Ronald Lausch, Chief Sales Officer at SMATRICS.

The ultra-fast charging stations, with a power output of up to 200 kilowatts, allow electric vehicle drivers to charge enough power for a range of up to 200 kilometers in just 15 minutes, depending on the vehicle’s charging capacity. Thanks to an on-site solar power system with battery storage, a large portion of the energy needed is generated locally.

“With the twelve new charging stations at Multiversum Schwechat—a central hub in the region for sports, culture, events, and shopping—we’re giving our customers the opportunity not only to park their vehicles conveniently and safely, but also to charge them quickly thanks to the latest technology. Expanding the electric charging infrastructure is a logical step for us to advance the ecological development of private transportation,” emphasizes Manfred Mayer, Managing Director of BOE Parking & Real Estate.
